Description
Western Australia is spacious, which makes it a state
of many contrasts. There are wild forests toward the
south, deserts in the middle and tropics to the north.
There are more species of wildflowers in Western Australia
than in the rest of the world. Perth, Western Australia’s
capital, is full of parks, picturesque night life, restaurants
boasting the widest variety of cuisines, theatres, an
international casino, and above all, a coastline abounding
in pristine white beaches and crystalline blue waters.
The climate provides for long, warm and dry summers
and short mild winters. Eurocentres has engaged in language
teaching for over 40 years and has one of its English
schools in Perth.
Accommodation
Students are offered accommodation with a host family
or in other residences. It is also possible to request
a hotel or an apartment, if the student wishes. Student
residences are located conveniently in the Central Business
District and host families are only a short bus ride
away.
Academics
Students can choose between taking Essential Language
Courses, Premium Courses and Teacher Courses. All courses
include placement testing, course material, social activities
and certification of your level. Classroom lessons are
complemented with outside studies. In Perth the Basic
Courses include 20 lessons per week for all levels.
The Intensive Course adds 5 weekly lessons for all levels.
Cambridge Examination preparation courses are also offered,
as well as Hotel and Tourism courses that are combined
with English.
Activities
The school offers a wide array of after class activities.
Visits to Australian pubs, international buffets, rock
climbing, windsurfing, surfing, kite surfing, golf,
horse riding, bike riding, scuba diving, art gallery
visits, theatres, movies and shopping are only a few
of these. There are also excursions such as cruises
visiting vineyards on the Swan River, day trips to Rottnest
Island and weekend trips to the Margaret River vineyards.
