Description
The Queensland College was founded in 1988 and is in
the city centre, close to the city’s shopping
and entertainment centre. The school takes up four levels
of a modern building with spacious, sunlit classrooms
with views of the Brisbane River and the city parks.
Accommodation
Among the various different accommodation possibilities
offered by the College students find homestay arrangements
with Australian families, which is a very good way of
getting to know the tradition and ways of Australian
life close up; youth hostels; au pairs, where students
finance their stay in Australia with an Australian family
helping with house tasks or caring for children in the
home. Another option involves renting an apartment individually
or with other students.
Academics
The College offers the following English courses: General
English, Intensive English, preparation courses for
Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL and TOECIC exams, Business English
and certain specialization courses for tour guides and
sporting English, among others.
Activities
The school provides students with an elaborate extracurricular
activities program to participate in during their free
time.
