Description
Sydney is one of the most interesting and multicultural cities in the world, where one can find local newspapers in most languages, listen to the multicultural radio station (SBS Radio) with news reports from all continents in 68 languages, as well as entertainment and information on local events. The Academy is situated in Circular Quay in the heart of Sydney, five minutes from the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge; it is close to libraries, cinemas, art galleries, restaurants and shops. Its location makes the school easily accessible from anywhere in Sydney by bus, train or ferry.

Accommodation
The Academy has its own house for students to share. The AG Mate House is exclusively for students. There are Ensuite, Single and Double rooms to choose from. Students can also stay with a homestay family, experiencing the Australian culture and practicing English. Staying with a homestay family offers a room, breakfast and dinner during the week. Lunch is added on weekends.

Academics
The Academy offers two types of English courses for overseas students.: ELICOS (English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students), which requires a Student Visa and is for full time students only (those attending 25 hours per week) and the ESL (English for Second Language) Course, which requires a Tourist or Working Holiday Visa and is offered on a full time (25 hours per week) or part time (15 hours a week) basis, for a period of up to 3 months. Lessons include reading, conversation, writing, grammar, vocabulary and listening based on headway.

Activities
AG Mate Academy designs study tour programs. The study tours can last from 1 to 6 weeks and are planned for different groups according to demand.
