Description
The Institute of Continuing & TESOL Education is
located in modern air conditioned buildings on the main
campus at Queensland University, covering 114 hectares
of grounds facing the River and only 6 km away form
the city of Brisbane. Brisbane, the capital, is Australia’s
third largest city with a population of around 1.45
million. It has a subtropical climate with dry sunny
winters and hot humid summers. It is a modern growing
city close to some of the most famous Australian beaches
– The Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.
Accommodation
ICTE-UQ helps students in their search for accommodation
in family homes.
Academics
The Institute’s courses are given by instructors
experienced in working with students and overseas professionals
at all levels. The courses are designed to develop communication
and fluency skills in general English, academic English,
or for special purposes and include cultural activities,
language laboratories, audiovisual classes and computer
laboratories. The Institute is the second largest IELTS
examination centre in Australia.
Activities
Excursions are organized to give students the chance
to learn various aspects of the Australian way of life.
