Australian
family homes: families offering their homes
live close to the university or on roads used by
public transport buses that go to the university.
In these homes, students generally have a furnished
bedroom and can use all the facilities. Breakfast
and evening meals are always included (half board).
University
Residences: All Australian universities have
student residences. Each student has his or her
own room. Depending on the residence, students may
receive two daily meals or may prepare their own
meals in shared kitchens.
Living
off campus: students can rent private lodgings
off campus. Rates for rent vary according to location
and the student’s personal preferences. This
can be the cheapest accommodation of all if expenses
are shared among three or four students (rent, food,
services, furnishings and security deposit).
Other
possibilities: students can also choose to
stay in one of Australia’s many youth hostels,
or reserve a room in a hotel, depending on the time
spent in Australia and each budget. Our sponsor
Sprachcaffe English School offers its student
residences for those wishing to learn English in
Australia, whether in Sydney or in Perth.
